PATH is a 501(c)(3)non-profit organization founded in 1999 as a grassroots organization called “The Homeless Coalition”. These founding members, including our current treasurer Allene Dering, could not accept that during the winter months there was no safe place for the homeless to go.

In 2000 the organization gained non-profit status and became Poor and the Homeless Tehama County Coalition. PATH provided overnight shelter and a hot meal each night, moving from church to church every thirty days to comply with zoning regulations.

Throughout the years PATH and its Board Members have worked diligently to see their dream of a permanent shelter realized, and in May 2024, that dream came true when PATH Plaza opened.

PATH Plaza is a 64 bed permanent shelter and One Stop Navigation Center where cllients can take advantage of a myriad of services.
